I N D I A N A P O L I S URBAN PASTOrS COALITION
SERVING OUR COMMUNITY | WORKING TOGETHER | CHANGING LIVES
The Indianapolis Urban Pastors Coalition is a nondenominational bipartisan group of religious and community leaders who are working to combat problems negatively impacting urban neighborhoods and its local residents.
The Coalition meets monthly to identify solutions to systemic issues specifically affecting low and moderate income families, at-risk youth, as well as minorities, living within the City of Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.
There are four areas of challenge being addressed by the Coalition: 1) Violence Prevention, Intervention, and Reduction, 2) Mental Health and Wellness, 3) Social Justice, and 4) Community and Economic Development.
If there is going to be systemic change, emotional healing, and enhanced measures for growth and sustainability of Indianapolis neighborhoods, then it requires expanding strategic partnerships between local government, the church, community investors and stakeholders alike.
